A Busy Week

Faith turned 2 months old on Monday and had her check up and shots. She weighs 12 lbs 10 oz and is 23 inches long. She's a good eater and is filling out well, even getting some cute little rolls on her legs.

Tomorrow, May 1 is Dave and my 6th wedding anniversary. To surprise him I bought us a new rocker glider and ottoman. The ottoman is on order, but they delivered the glider today. We already have one glider set that we've put many miles on since Faith was born, but we recently moved it to Faith's room to use for her quiet bedtime routine and middle of the night feedings. We missed having a rocker in the living room a lot, so we needed another one. I can justify it because I know we'll get lots of use out of it.

Faith modeling the new chair. We hope Daddy likes it!

She's very smiley these days.
And serious sometimes.
Last weekend Faith and I traveled out to Bismarck to visit Grandma Bonnie, Papa Tim, and aunts, uncles and cousins. Faith met her great Grandma Alice for the first time.
Papa Tim has a special touch in getting Faith to go to sleep. He walks and rocks and sings Amazing Grace to her.

I think it makes him a little sleepy too.
We built a fort - for girls only. I had to evacuate after we were bombed by a stinky diaper.

Not to forget Oscar. We had some business in town last Friday morning and took Oscar with. We let him run around the big city for a bit.

My Big Girl Chair

I got the coolest early baptism gift this week from my godparents Greg and Renee. It's a pink big girl chair with MY name embroidered in it. I just love it! Mom was so excited she had me get dressed up in a pretty outfit and try it out for some pictures.

Look how happy I am!

My bunny is hanging out too.

What a great day.

Ok Mom. Really? How many pictures are you going to take?
I think I'll just kick my feet up to see how comfy it is. Yup, this is going to be great when I'm old enough to watch cartoons on Saturday morning.

It's bath time! I love my hair.

Mom's been showing me this thing called a mirror and there is the cutest baby that looks back at me. Sometimes she smiles big and sometimes she screams. I like the smiling one better.
Slumber party in my room!
Why do baby outfits have goofy ears on them? Would you walk around with animal ears on? How is anyone going to take me serious in this?

My auntie Lisa.
This is my big cousin Bret. He is the oldest grandchild on the Gundersen side and I'm the youngest.

Cousins

Faith and cousin Jack. Jack is just 12 days older than Faith.
Isabelle, Jack and Faith. They'll be such good friends!

I have a bow in my hair.

Isabelle is chewing at the purse strings just waiting until her and Faith are old enough to go shopping.

Summer is coming. It's just too hot to wear pants today.

Getting ready for bed time after a fun day with cousins.

Get me out of this Boppy and rock me to sleep already!

6 1/2 Weeks Old

We're smiling now!

Hard to believe Faith is 6 1/2 weeks old now. We had her weighed at the doc's office on Thursday and she was 11 lbs 4 oz, over 3 pounds heavier than when she left the hospital and she's grown 3/4 of an inch! She's a good eater!

Faith was recently visited by her godfather Greg Stai. She really liked Greg's sense of humor and has seen pictures of his son Chase who is 11 months old - he's a cutie! She can't wait to meet him. Faith will be baptized on May 2nd.

Having fun with Dad.

Just chillin.

Sleepy time. Please don't wake me!

Tummy time with big brother Oscar.

Faith is really growing in other ways too. She finally likes some floor time without fussing. She's watching the lights and listening to the songs of her toy.

And she does some bouncy chair time too. Here she's on the bathroom counter watching Mom get ready for the day.

I call her our little jungle girl sometimes. She likes to nap in the swing, on the highest speed, with the noise maker on sounds of birds in the rainforest. Life is like one big carnival ride for Faith. When she isn't swinging to the jungle noises, bouncing in her chair, rocking, going for car rides, or watching the flashing lights of her toy we sit and bounce her on our big exercise ball. Apparently that is calming. She also really likes the noise maker on the loudest volume and the sound of the vaccuum cleaner. Overstimulated??? Nope, not this girl.
