A Tooth, A Haircut, and Mobility...

Faith is 7 months old now and cut her first tooth last weekend. She also got her first haircut yesterday and did fantastic! She started trying to crawl, but only seems to scoot backwards and get stuck under furniture all the time. Here are some updates...

I layed her in crib and went to get a bottle. When I came back a minute later she made it to the end of the crib. Time to lower the mattress!

Now that she can roll a lot she's even quite mobile in her sleep. I found her sleeping like this one morning. Her right leg is bent up under her tummy. Looks comfy.

A Beautiful Day at the Lake

Faith and I had a great day at Lake Eunice yesterday at my aunt and uncle's cabin. She got a new swimming suit and sun hat from Grandma Bonnie. This is my new favorite picture of my little munchkin. I think she's just beautiful! (But of course I'm a little biased.)

Her first time swimming in her floatie. She didn't mind it, but then she wanted to chew on it and got a little lake water in the mouth.

Such a fun day and the weather was gorgeous. Faith definitely loves being outdoors.

Time Flies!

We're back at the blog after a little break. It's quite busy working full time and keeping up with things. We have a pretty good routine down now, but it feels like we're on the go from the time our feet hit the floor in the morning.

In just under a week Faith will be 5 months old. Just today she learned from cousin Eric how to sit up on her own. I can hardly believe it! She puts her little hands in front of her to support herself and looks like a little monkey. These first months are filled with a lot of firsts. I really need to get her baby book out and start recording things because I'm already forgetting what she did when.

(It looks like she's thinking "I'm going to get you Oscar! It won't be long and I'll be able to crawl after you, so you better learn to move faster!")

We're trying to fill her full with some cereal before bedtime each night. Her other new trick is that she can stick her tongue out and blow, sending the cereal flying everywhere. Of course she thinks it's hilarious. (It is pretty cute.)

Faith is chewing on EVERYTHING! She's working on cutting her two bottom teeth. With a flashlight you can see the very tips of the two little white teeth coming through.

She learned how to roll from her tummy to her back and so now there's no keeping her on her belly. I had to snap the picture fast before she rolled off the pillow.

She attended her first parade in June and wore her Plumbers Inc. to support Daddy. We watched him and his company's trucks and trailers in the parade.

Grandma Bonnie got Faith and cousin Katie the cutest 4th of July outfits and made headbands to match.

Time to lose the swimsuit and sarong. It was just too hot!

Grandma Bonnie hand crafted some awesome baby headbands exclusively for her grand babies. We're working on the modeling pose. How do I look?

3 Months Old

Faith turned 3 months old on May 26 and she's doing great. Morning seems to be her favorite time of day, especially if she wakes up with a full diaper. She just loves to tell you the stories of all the dreams she had while she was sleeping.

She does very well sleeping through the night most nights of the week. This last week she must have been going through a growth spurt though because she liked to get up in the middle of the night to eat even though she's been eating like crazy all day.

I went back to work on the 20th and it's going great. Aunt Christine takes care of Faith during the day, so I don't have to worry about her at all. She gets to spend time getting to know cousins and Grandma and Bestefar too!

She's also not real crazy about wearing clothes anymore. She must feel refurgerated.

We like putting her in the high chair while we eat supper. Sometimes she kicks her feet up for a bit.

We visited Grandma Bonnie and Papa Tim out in Bismarck for Memorial Day weekend.

Good morning! Grandma Bonnie says it looks like Faith combs her hair with a hand grenade.

I've been trying to get Faith to take a nap all day today. She finally fell asleep while playing on her toy mat. Too bad the nap only lasted 10 minutes.
